Do Your Employees Feel Entitled?

Think that the tough job market has changed the sense of entitlement for new college graduates?  Think again.
Having survived the rigors of lectures, papers, and exams, the class of 2012 has an inflated view of the value they bring to the marketplace.  Many recent college graduates believe they've earned a high paying job, and they deserve a high paying job.  And most resist negative feedback, having been fed a steady diet of praise and rewards.
Eric Chester, author of Reviving Work Ethic, reminds us that entitlement is not a one-way street. Employers are entitled to receive a full day's work for a full day's pay.  Oh, and don't forget, customers are entitled to receive good service for good money spent.
Check out Chester's video on the Entitlement Creed.  At the beginning, he catches students voicing their unrealistic demands.  He follows with employers explaining what they expect and deserve from their employees.

Here's Eric Chester's creed: Entitlement Creed.  What's you're creed?  What do you expect of your employees?
